tango. the image you conjure up seems quite wacky, rather than romantic.
the science discussion sounds very cool! i don't think science is common sense. not to me at least. reason; but not necessarily common sense. humans don't really need 'conceptualisation' to dig into science... i think we're just curious. science gives us a base on which to imagine, which we can then build upon, in a certain direction, with greater efficiency vs mucking around... those nuggets of wisdom that say stuff like if you dream it you can do it or whatever... basically a combination of the two... in a sense its also the same thing... theyre not mutually exclusive. science just grows.... oh goodness. i'm out of point. i wish i wasnt so woolly.

dreams translate into science (as in discoveries etc?)(do you mean purely study or development of science?)
vs
dreams in tandem with science to discover
correct me if i'm wrong.
aren't they basically the same?? you just need both dreams and science to create.
oversimplification? bleh

haha. yes, a bad analogy.
maybe later theyll find some use for themselves, but at present theyre just irritatingly persistent. i saw her inbox.
the guys really don't make a lot of difference to her love life... either they come and go, or are too loser for any notice to be taken of them.

hugged a guy. nope.
oh but my parents have a sweet/embarassing shot of a guy (in england) (we were both around the region of 2yrs old) who grabbed me and kissed me. one of those things. wonder where they learn it from.

i think... girls are interpersonal (read a little of the mars/venus book). as far as my experience goes... perspective on how others live their lives... precisely, the trivial stuff is what constitutes our lives, much of the time... world events are generally not pertinent enough to be discussed. sorry. many arent too willing to give others a view of how they live their life... too personal? vulnerable? and if they do its not gonna be something theyll let you overhear. i think, at least. seems like some girls are so trivial bimbo blahblahblah you cant believe there isnt more to it. and there probably is too. i dont know how many girls i speak for... but i talk for company much of the time, and entertainment... i value my privacy too much to broadcast my life, but to fulfill the need for communication there are always those close friends.

what were some of the topics you overheard? very interested to know. let me guess... guys. clothes. shopping. sports (for some). guys again.
its like writing notes. youve got people you write to when youre bored, they go like:
"hi nic. very bored now. mrs bala is so mean. i hate mrs bala. i can't believe i'm writing to you when you're less than 50cm away from me. i'm that bored." i'm usually not that bored.
then there are those i call letters. private and confidential, for-your-eyes-only. i practically put my whole life in the letters i write. (yes, nat.) if you want to see how others live, and enter into it, thats where you find it. i'm not the only one who writes that kind of thing. but some confide more than others, and on different things... (but still mostly on guys. i'm sorry. ;)

what we talk about... of the conversations i hear, 75% are related to guys. 5% on school. 20% on how bored/hungry/tired the person in question is. privately: friends (girls and guys) (a lot), stress, family, ccas, ambitions, passions, worries, emotions, what's happening in our lives, occasional philosophy (a very stimulating topic is homosexuality, another is the new bus-stops)... a good deal of whining and complaining. then a little less as we go on. then back to guys. one-track mind. i wonder what i used to talk about before it was guys... no. i remember. not good.

i don't know about guys. but its true girls talk a lot about the past and the present (mostly past?) and the present extrapolates into something more vague... and what do guys talk about?

have a ghastly salty ulcer. painful.
wrote my first poem in nearly a year last night. when i think of it i don't like it, but when i read it it doesnt seem so bad. i don't trust my writing.

will post this first, maybe later reply to the second half.
before my com hangs or sth.
