i didn't think so.. or i would have remembered it different, not raw and bloody and full of tension.
you... sprinter. running longer distances calls for singing. repetitive tunes. or at least humming. never maths sums though, whyy? personally, i think about the wind and weather.. you're right about the flop and die part; that is eminently unnerving. especially when they go all out in the last lap or last 200m, all form gone, arms flailing, every remaining ounce of willpower and strength concentrated on the line, and then they cross it, stumble, and collapse into a limp bundle of spent runner.
